Car companies joined environmental campaigners Wednesday June 15, 2005 to urge the Government to back the use of "green" fuels in vehicles. The coalition, which also includes the Transport and General Workers' Union, wants greater use of biofuels, in particular bioethanol which produces at least 50% fewer carbon emissions than petrol.
