Belgian-born artist and designer Jean-Michel Folon pictured in the 70's. Folon died in Monaco on October 20, 2005 at the age of 71. He had been suffering from leukaemia. He was best known for designing the 1989 logo for the bicentenary of the French revolution, which consisted of three soaring birds, and also produced many campaign posters for groups such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International.
