Silversmith Gareth Harris make the necessary modifications to include the Italian emblem to rugby union's Six Nations trophy (formerly Five Nations) at the workshop of Smith and Harris in Hatton Garden, London. * For the past six seasons the winners of northern hemisphere rugby's most prestigious international tournament have been presented with the Five Nations Trophy, which could easily have been rendered obsolete by Italy's admission into the tournament this year. Fortunately, plans had been made for the Trophy to be amended rather than replaced. The trophy, made of sterling silver, was commissioned in 1992 and presented for the first time in 1993. There are 15 sides to the trophy, one side representing each player in the 15-man union code. In addition, there are three handles to represent the match officials - referee and two touch judges.
