File photo dated 18/11/1947 of a beautiful Wedgwood blue and white wedding cake, completed at Cadby Hall as Lyons' gift to Princess Elizabeth and Lieut Philip Mountbatten, R.N. The cake, three-tiered and mounted on a silver stand and terraces, has blue and white Jasper vases in Wedgwood set in alcoves behind silver pillars at the four corners of the first and second tiers. Satin panels on the front of each tier represent the Princess' coat of arms, the initials "EP" under the crown, and a naval crown. The cake is the work of Mr FE Jacobs, chief decorator of the Cadby Hall Ornamental Dept.
