Keystone/Eyedea/Everett Collection (KSK006340_A4) 10/09/1947. In the Saint-Lazare Station, Paris, the popular French singer Edith PIAF (center) and the Compagnons de la Chanson are going thru a little luggage train to get to the train compartment that will take them to the Havre, and then on to the United States. The Compagnons de la Chanson, a singing group from Lyon and with a popular répertoire, actually went with Edith PIAF on a five-month tour in the United States, a tour that made them an international reputation.
