Homeless-Count-BC 20231005

Tents and people are seen at a homeless encampment at Crab Park as the Celebrity Cruises vessel Celebrity Eclipse is docked at port in Vancouver, on August 14, 2022. The British Columbia government says results from the latest surveys of people living on the streets show current support levels aren't enough and more services are needed to address rising homelessness throughout the province. A statement from the Housing Ministry says point-in-time homelessness counts conducted in 20 communities over a 24-hour period revealed increases across the board compared with the previous counts in 2020 and 2021.
