Scotiabank Giller Prize gala upended by protest

Montreal-born Sarah Bernstein won the Scotiabank Giller Prize in a 30th anniversary bash upended by anti-Israel protesters. Just as her name was called at the Toronto gala, a protester interrupted the live telecast with antiwar slogans. Police escorted the protester out of a star-studded ballroom. (Nov. 14, 2023)
