A shooting occurred near a synagogue and a church in Derbent in Russia’s southern republic of Dagestan on Sunday, Russian news agencies reported citing the regional Interior Ministry. An orthodox priest was killed as a fire took hold in the synagogue and one policeman was killed and another one injured, according to reports.
