Newsroom Ready: Fort McMurray residents take latest wildfire threat seriously, but in stride

About 6,600 people have been ordered out of several neighbourhoods in the oilsands hub in northern Alberta, while the rest of the city remains on evacuation alert. In 2016, about 80,000 in the community and surrounding area were evacuated, when a fire tore through the city and destroyed homes. (May 15, 2024)
