NS Lymphedema MAID 20240919

Jennifer Brady, who suffers from lymphedema—a disease that causes an accumulation of fluid that can result in painful swelling, increased risk of blood infection, cellulitis and hardening of the skin, undergoes her daily 5+ hours of treatment in a device called a Lympha Press with her dogs Daisy and Wallace at her home in Halifax on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Brady has applied to end her life through medical assistance in dying following years of fighting the provincial Department of Health for access to care outside of Nova Scotia.
