Freeland challenges Tories to take a stand on capital gains tax change

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland tabled a motion to increase the amount of tax Canadians pay when they sell assets in what she says is a move to level the playing field between millionaires and the middle class. She is pushing the Conservatives to specifically show support for the changes to the capital gains tax, or vote against it. (Jun. 10, 2024)
