MONTANA ASBESTOS

Gayla Benefield, who lost both parents to asbestos-related diseases, visits Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, with Les Skramstad at Skramstad's home in Libby, Montana. He is one of hundreds of Libby residents poisoned by asbestos contamination from the now defunct W.R. Grace and Co. vermiculite mine near town. Skramstad, who says he has been given a life expectancy of less that two years, is among those in town pleased with the recent federal indictments against Grace and seven of its top officials.
