Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard has been sentenced to five years behind bars after being found guilty earlier this year of sexually assaulting an Ottawa woman. Outside court, Crown attorney Jill Witkin applauded the complainants for coming forward, saying "It's a difficult process, but it's a necessary process." Hoggard has launched an appeal.
