Immigrant drama ‘Riceboy Sleeps’ hits theatres

B.C.-raised writer-director Anthony Shim mines childhood for immigrant drama ‘Riceboy Sleeps’, a story he says is inspired by his childhood experiences growing up in British Columbia. Actress Choi Seung-yoon plays a South Korean widow in the film, she moves to Canada in the 1990s with her young son, Dong-hyun, and but is forced to confront their painful past.
