Premiers are putting pressure on the federal government to introduce tougher bail rules, and the Liberals have promised those measures in legislation the justice minister plans to table this fall. It will make bail tougher to get for those accused of some car thefts, home invasions and some human trafficking and smuggling offences - but critics say they're worried about Ottawa’s plans.
