Carney says Canada is ready to negotiate with U.S.

Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada is ready to keep working with the United States on a potential trade deal, and says it is the sole responsibility of the government to keep having those discussions. He was responding after U.S. President Donald Trump announced he plans to increase tariffs on Canadian goods in response to an anti-tariff TV ad the Ontario government has been running in American markets.
