Sixty-two Indigenous cultural artifacts from the Vatican arrived at Montreal’s Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, the latest stop in a journey that will see them ultimately returned to their communities of origin as an act of furthering reconciliation. Indigenous leaders welcomed the return of the artifacts gifted, but say more needs to be done to bring other items held elsewhere, including the Vatican. (Dec. 6, 2025)
