Saskatchewan's signs updated $1.6B child-care deal with federal government
Saskatchewan's new child-care deal will see Ottawa spend $1.6 billion over five years to support $10-a-day care. The federal government says the funding arrangement includes an annual three per cent increase to ensure the agreement is sustainable over its duration. It will also allow children who turn six while still in care to be eligible for coverage, and for-profit operators can now participate in the program. (Nov. 28, 2025).
