Coral spawning project hopes to save reefs from climate change

Harmful bleaching of the world’s coral is impacting 84% of the ocean’s reefs according to the International Coral Reef Initiative. Researchers hope that coral spawning labs can create genetically diverse coral that can better withstand the effects of climate change and mass bleaching events.
