Newsroom Ready: Inflation cools as prices drop at the grocery store, gas pumps

Statistics Canada said the annual rate of inflation cooled to 2.2 per cent in October, down from 2.4 per cent in September. The agency said gas prices were falling at a faster rate in October, and consumers found relief at the grocery store but felt a rare pinch on their cell bills. (Nov. 17, 2025)
