Newsroom Ready: Teck Resources and Anglo American announce $70 billion tie-up
In what's shaping up to be the world's biggest mining deal of the past decade, Vancouver-based Teck Resources Ltd. and London-headquartered Anglo American PLC have agreed to join together, creating a copper-focused giant worth about $70 billion. The deal would also see the headquarters of the newly merged company move to Vancouver, as proponents look to sell the Canadian on the benefits of a deal that's certain to attract regulatory scrutiny.
