Newsroom Ready: B.C. man sees a pod of orca whales up close in Howe Sound
Joshua Lepin says he and some friends were relaxing on the waters off B.C.’s Gambier Island when a pod of orcas put on a show he says was like "something you would see at SeaWorld." He says the encounter that was captured on video lasted about 10 minutes, with the whales slapping their fins and tails on the water, while juveniles can be seen porpoising out of the water.
