Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Friday thanked firefighters from several European countries that are helping battle multiple fires across the nation. Speaking at a command post for a wildfire in Asturias, Sanchez said that countries involved in the European Civil Protection Mechanism showed that nations are there for each other "in the good times and in the bad." German and French firefighting units were among those who arrived to tackle fires in northern Spain.
