Alberta is looking to change the slogan and design of its licence plates and is dropping the "Wild Rose Country" slogan in favour of the provincial motto "Strong and Free." Premier Danielle Smith says there's nothing political driving the change, even though her United Conservative Party has used the phrase in campaigns and promotional material. (Oct. 15, 2025)
