First Nations leaders meet in Winnipeg to discuss major infrastructure projects

First Nations leaders from across Canada have gathered for the first time since a bill was passed allowing the fast-track of major projects deemed to be in the national interest. The Assembly of First Nations has warned government and industry that the countrywide push for projects won't happen without First Nations at the table. (Sept. 3, 2025)
