Footage distributed by Sao Paulo’s city hall showed two alleged robbers taking what appeared to be artworks stolen from the Mário de Andrade library. Police officials have said two suspects stole eight colorful works by Matisse and five by Brazilian artist Candido Portinari on Sunday. A suspect was arrested on Monday afternoon and remains in custody, while the search for the second one continues, Sao Paulo’s secretary for public safety said.
