New Brunswick marks National Indigenous Peoples Day

About 150 people gathered on the front lawn of the New Brunswick Legislature Monday to mark National Indigenous Peoples Day. St. Mary’s First Nation Chief Allan Polchies Jr. said that while the recent discovery of 215 children’s remains at a Kamloops Residential School was a revelation to many Canadians, it just confirmed what school survivors have said for a long time.
