EDMONTON. x--08s. Edmonton police have charged a 23-year-old man with forging Connor McDavid's signature on Oilers jerseys and selling them as part of an alleged fraud scheme. Police say over the past year someone claiming to be employed by either the Oilers or a local sports memorabilia retailer contacted people on Facebook about selling the jerseys. Constable Derek Burns says the hockey superstar helped them spot the phoney signatures.
