VICTORIA. x--15s. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says evidence, science and research will make his government's policies on the Canada Food Guide. Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer told a Dairy Farmers of Canada meeting that a Conservative government would review the food guide. Trudeau told a crowd in Victoria that politics shouldn't be involved.

TAG: The food guide was recently overhauled and did away with traditional food groups and portion sizes and focused instead on broader guidelines, including eating more plant-based protein and drinking more water.
