MONTREAL. x--19s. The prime minister and European Council President Donald Tusk (TOOSK') have concluded a meeting in Montreal where Canada and E-U members talked up the merits of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. Canada's Parliament has already ratified the pact, but seven Canadian and Quebec politicians sent a letter to French lawmakers this week urging them not to follow suit. At a news conference with Tusk, Justin Trudeau said he won't stop pushing for more open trading agreements around the world.

TAG: Trudeau also questioned with whom the New Democrats would sign a trade deal if not with Europe, where some of the most progressive countries in the world exist.
