OTTAWA. x--20s. The federal government has announced a 900-million-dollar settlement with members of the military and employees at the Defence department. The money will settle several class-action lawsuits filed by workers who endured sexual harassment, gender discrimination and sexual assault in the military. Plaintiff Amy Graham is most excited about policy changes included in the agreement.

TAG: The government first planned to defend itself against the suits, but in light of criticism and participants in several lawsuits banding together it started settlement proceedings early last year.
