Pacific National Exhibition 20220902

A worker at a carnival game explains the rules to fairgoers at the Pacific National Exhibition Fair, in Vancouver, on Thursday, September 1, 2022. The 15-day event, which runs through Sept. 5, is the PNE's first full scale fair since prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The federal government announced this week that $10 million in funding for facility and infrastructure upgrades will be provided to the Pacific National Exhibition. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck
