B.C. residents asked to check on one another during heat wave

British Columbia's top doctor, along with the province's health and public safety ministers, says residents need to check on one another during the upcoming heat wave. Dr. Bonnie Henry says the heat, combined with lingering wildfire smoke, can hit peoples' health hard. More than 500 people are believed to have died as a result of a heat wave in early July.
