Confederate Statue Tennessee

FILE — A statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest is splattered with pink paint after being vandalized in Nashville, Tenn., in Dec., 2017. The controversial statue of Forrest, a Confederate General and the first Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, was vandalized several times since it was put up in 1998. The statue was taken down Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, one year after Bill Dorris, the owner of the statue and the property where it stood, passed away. (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey, File)
