As dairy farmers dump milk, potatoes pile up and meat-packing plants struggle with COVID-19 outbreaks among workers, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised a $252-million aid package to stabilize Canada's agriculture and food industries. It includes a $50-million fund to buy food that will otherwise spoil and give it to food banks.
