Newsroom Ready: Fever screening coming for air travellers in Canada: Garneau
The federal government will bar travellers with fevers from boarding airplanes, Transport Minister Marc Garneau said Friday, starting with people coming in from abroad by the end of June. The move is an attempt to keep COVID-19 from spreading. Anyone who shows a fever at airport security will be turned away and told to rebook in two weeks, Garneau said.
