French Foreign Legion recruits of the 4th Foreign Regiment of the French Foreign Legion during a training session in Castelnaudary, southern France on April 8, 2009. Each 17-week instruction cycle systematically takes place in a farm where the recruits learn French, the life together and the soldier job. Based in Castelnaudary since 1976, the regiment hosts the boot camp for the Legion's recruits.
