Canada's 55-64 population has never been so high: census

New data from the 2021 census reveals Canada's population of 55 to 64-year-olds has never been so high, and the gap between that group and those 15 to 24 has never been so wide. A Statistics Canada demographer says this growing gap is certainly one factor in the labour shortage the country is currently experiencing.
