SpaceX founder Elon Musk unveiled plans to put humans on Mars as early as 2024. Musk said SpaceX's upcoming BFR mega-rocket can take dozens of people to the moon and to Mars and can also fly from New York to Tokyo in less than 30 minutes. (Sept. 29)
