Voters give thoughts as polls open in Japan with ruling party braced for a blow to its majority

Voters in Tokyo began casting their ballots early Sunday for an election that might weaken Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba's grip on power in Japan. Voting began Sunday morning across the country, where 1,344 candidates, including a record 314 women, are running for office.
