Bolivians adorn and bless the skulls of the deceased during traditional celebration

People in Bolivia paid tribute to their dead loved ones on Friday during the annual 'Ñatitas' feast at La Paz cemetery. The tradition dates back to ancient Andean peoples and celebrates the day of the dead by venerating real skulls of deceased relatives, filling them with ornaments, flowers, and other items. Devotees attribute to the skulls the mission of guarding their home and fulfilling favors. (AP video shot by Carlos Guerrero)
