Researcher study hailstorms in Alberta

The Northern Hail Project, involving researchers from Western University, is working to better understand and predict the devastating forces of nature around “Hailstorm Alley,” which runs from High River, just south of Calgary, to central Alberta. It’s the site of more than 40 hailstorms every summer, causing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage. (July 22, 2025)
