Tihar Festival, third day Nepalese often worship cows and Laxmi, the goddess of wealth. This is the most important day in the festival. People would get up early and clean the room thoroughly, thanking the cows. Nepal's Tihar Festival is, equivalent to India's Deepawali or Diwali Festival of Lights. A five days celebration during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika.
