Water Shortage

Truck driver Danny Lopez, from Parksville, BC, arrives with a truck-load of approximately 40,000 gallons of water from Port Alberni, B.C., to the Pacific National Processing fish plant in Tofino, B.C on the West Coast of Vancouver Island Thursday, Aug.31, 2006. The water in the trailer is not drinkable, but sufficient to keep the fish plant's main office open for the next few days. The company said they regularly have 90 staff working for them, but had to lay off 80 of them due to the water shortage and their inability to process the fish. (CP PHOTO/Deddeda Stemler)
