PITTMAN, ROCHELL

Rochelle Pittman, shown in this undated photo, contracted HIV through sex with her husband after their family doctor did not tell him he got tainted blood during heart surgery at Toronto Hospital in 1994. Rochelle Pittman died of AIDS-related complications last year. Families of two other AIDS victims will square off against the Red Cross Tuesday in one of the first legal battles over tainted bloob to reach a Canadian court. The only other case alleging negligence by the Red Cross over tainted blood was that of Pittman. (CP PHOTO) 1996 (stf-Bill Becker)
