July 26, 2023, Eelde, Netherlands: Emergency workers transport a stretcher on a dock in Eelde, Netherlands. The Coastguard Center received a report from the ship Fremantle Highway with a major fire on board. The vessel is transporting 2857 cars, 25 of which are electric. All 23 crew members have been removed from the burning vessel. Some crew members were brought ashore by a KNRM vessel and some were brought ashore by helicopter. The Coastguard and emergency services on site are trying to further determine the extent of damage. Several KNRM lifeboats and a Noordgat salvage vessel are on site.
