Newsroom Ready: Joy in Newfoundland after ‘Lucky 7′ fishers survive harrowing days lost at sea

A Newfoundland fishing community held a vehicle parade and a celebration for seven fishermen who were rescued after spending days drifting at sea in a life raft about 200 kilometres from land. Mike Tiller, mayor of New-Wes-Valley, N.L., led the parade and the gathering for the fishers, who are now locally known as the “Lucky 7.” (July 22, 2024)
