CONVENTION HISTORY
Police, firemen, and workers search through the rubble on Osage Avenue in West Philadelphia May 15, 1985 in the aftermath of a blaze which destroyed 61 homes in the neighborhood. After police dropped a bomb on the house occupied by members of a radical group called MOVE, the massive fire ignited, resulting in the death of eleven people. This incident is one that Philadelphia is notorious for, as the city went into a tailspin from the 1960's through the 1980's. (AP Photo)
