FILE -- Don Messer (left) plays the fiddle as he accompanies with Marg Osburne (centre) and Charlie Chamberlain in this August 1948 file photo in Cherlottetown, P.E.I.. It was kept in a numbered box for almost 30 years, played by no one as it sat in a quiet, climate-controlled room in the local archives.
