Obit Walker

FILE - In this August 1972 file photo, long jumper Willye White shows a photo of herself to LeRoy Walker, who was assisting her during her training for the Munich Olympics, during a break in her training in Munich. Walker, the first African-American to head the U.S. Olympic Committee and coach an American Olympic track and field team, has died. He was 93. Scarborough & Hargett Funeral home says Walker died Monday in Durham, N.C. No cause of death was given. (AP Photo/File)
